Ben Pearce took first starter from a spell Bellaxena to the Belmont turf club meeting on Wednesday, August 6th with the TAB metropolitan meeting taking place under fine conditions on a track surface rated a good three, to compete in the Real Mark Real Estate handicap over 1000m with Peter Hall to steer.

On landing Hall had his mount worse than mid field from an awkward gate, and on settling it was Miss Santa Fe dictating the sprint with Oakhurst Flyer 2nd, then a bunch of horses including Ashanti Lass and Debs Delight, and Priceless Cat,  Bellaxena had two behind her and was on the outside, waiting for an order to make her presence felt.

Coming down to the line it would be Miss Santa Fe kicking clear enough to take out the second event, Oakhurst Flyer made a dash to lob in before the fast finishing Bellaxena, showing she has returned in fine shape to indicate to connections a hopeful preparation may lie ahead.
