Caravaggio three-year-old Beautiful Baroque got her winning account underway at Pinjarra on Sunday when taking out the Medic Aid Maiden (1300m) second-up from a spell.
Ridden by Brad Parnham as an $18 outsider, the feisty grey filly benefited from the addition of blinkers for the first time and enjoyed a lovely run one-out and one-back in transit.
Parnham peeled her into the clear turning for home and she let down with a strong finish on straightening to hit the lead passing the 400m mark before fending off Noteworthy ($3.20) by just over a half-length on the line.
Royal Splendour ($18) finished a further length away in third place.
Beautiful Baroque has now had five career starts for a win and a minor placing after overcoming behavioural issues earlier in her career and the Pearce stable are hopeful she can go on with it from here.
