The Ben Pearce prepared galloper Bal Amour headed to the Northam race club meeting on Thursday, June 11 with the three-year-old Filly contesting in race one on the card in a 1400 m three-year-old maiden plate with Ms Jerry Noske aboard jumping from barrier 10 in a field of 11.

As the field dispatched it was Balboa's Secret fast into stride, Orahalo was second off the leaders girth, Terirem was taking closer order with Black Chant was also prominent, back through field cap catches was the long shot Marjesden with Bal Amour whipping the field in coming to the turn some 4 length adrift with Noske, beginning to stoke her charge up after electing to take a sit back in the field.

Into the straight it was Balboa's Secret leading for him Terirem had snuck through hard up against the fence, Orahalo was staking a claim, with the favourite Vitalism starting to put in the strides without really bridging the gap, as the Pearce prepared Bal Amour was making up loads of ground as if undetected through the field.

Inside the final 50m it was all Balboa's Secret from barrier to box stealing the prize with the fast finishing Bal Amour finishing second and in doing so delivering some faith to the ownership group, with hopefully a glimpse of some better results to come, as the punters elect Vitalism finishing in third.
