Patronize four-year-old Pull The Trigger landed his second win from as many starts this preparation when dead heating with Profit Pocket in the TABtouch Westspeed Platinum Handicap (1400m).

Starting an $8.50 chance with William Pike aboard, the grey gelding made an impressive return to racing when winning with 60kg first up at Geraldton on October 3 and kept his undefeated record in tact this campaign when splitting the prize at his first start at Saturday level.

After jumping from barrier two, Pike positioned him leaders-back in the run before peel off heels to get into the clear on straightening and he appeared to get up in the final stride to the naked eye before the photo finish determined a split result.

Sunbronzed ($8.50) finished a further half-length away in third place.

Purchased by Pearce Racing at the 2022 Perth Magic Millions Yearling Sale, the lightly-raced Pull The Trigger has now had nine career starts for three wins, two seconds and $87,742 in total earnings.

Meanwhile, stablemates Exceltrain and Richanco almost made it a big day for the Pearce yard when finishing narrow seconds in their respective races.

Pearce Racing has prepared 20 wins in the 2024/25 season to date.
