The Ben Pearce racing team will supply two runners to the Ascot turf club race meeting on Saturday, December 13 with fine conditions forecast the rail is out 9m, racing on a good three.
The first of the stable runners will come out in race four with Vital Edition to compete in 1600 meter race to be ridden by Peter Hall jumping from barrier seven in a field of 10.
Vital Edition is four-year-old Bay gelding having faced the starter on 18 occasions for five wins and three placings earning prize-money in excess of $100,000 this preparation has gone well with three consecutive wins, followed by a third of 10 at Ascot on November 8 over 2200 m when ridden by Joe Azzopardi, finishing half a length off the winner and was last seen at Ascot November 29 over 1800 m in a BM 72+ with Peter Hall aboard finishing fifth of 16 in a race time of 1:50.77 going down by three lengths on that occasion.
The final runner for the team Raising Dubai will come out in race eight with the honest galloper competing over 2400 m with Peter Hall aboard jumping from barrier 15 in a field of 16.
Raising Dubai is a five-year-old Bay gelding having started on 33 occasions for five wins and 13 placings earning prize-money in excess of a $166,000.
After a couple wins in a row he travelled to Ascot on October 25 finishing fourth of 8 over 2200m, then competed again at Ascot on November 8 finishing second of 10 with Peter Hall aboard going down narrowly on that occasion, & was last seen at the same venue on November 29 over 2200m when ridden again by Peter Hall finished third of 13 one length from the winner in a race time of 2:19.68 with the last 600m 36.08.
