The Ben Pearce racing team will supply two runners to the Ascot turf club metropolitan race meeting on Wednesday, October 29 with the rail out 15m with the cut away in the straight the weather predicted is fine racing on a good three.
The first of the stable runners will be Don't Get Caught first up from a spell in race six in a handicap race over 1200 m with Troy Turner aboard jumping from barrier eight in a field of 10.
Don't Get Caught is a four-year-old Bay gelding having start number nine with three wins and one second earning prize-money in excess of $33,000.
He is prepared for this outing via two trials at Lark Hill, the first on October 6 finishing fourth of 7 over 950 m finishing 2.75 lengths back in that heat and was last seen on October 13 in at 950 meter trial with Troy aboard winning that heat by 1 1/2 lengths to his nearest rival in a field of eight in a time of 58.85.
The final runner for the team will come out in race seven in the Crown Perth handicap over 1200 m with When In Roan first up from a spell to be ridden by Peter Hall jumping from barrier seven in a field of 11.
When In Roan is a four-year-old gelding having start number three with recent trials being at home at Lark Hill over 950 m with Alan Kennedy aboard on the first occasion finishing fifth of 10 one and a half lengths off the winner and was last seen on October 13 finishing second of 7 over 950 m, landing three quarters of a length from the winner in a heat time of 57.15.
Ben has made a gear change for this outing by adding the Blinkers to enhance the chance.
