All American three-year-old All Brave made a promising start to his career at Kalgoorlie on Sunday when taking out the Coates Maiden (1200m) at his first race start.
The big gelding had seven trials across three preparations prior to his race debut but is only in his first prep since joining the Pearce stable earlier this year and opened his winning account courtesy of a nice ride from jockey Natasha Faithfull.
Starting on the second line of betting at $5.50, All Brave jumped from barrier one and was positioned in the box seat before muscling into the clear on straightening and reeling in Queen’s Sacrifice ($8.50) to score by a neck on the line.
Timely Advice ($6) finished a further two-and-a-quarter lengths away in third place.
All Brave picked up a handy $20,208 in stake earnings and Westspeed Platinum bonuses for his Kalgoorlie victory and is Pearce Racing’s 24th individual three-year-old winner of the 2022/23 season so far.
The stable has six three-year-old’s engaged to race at Wednesday’s Belmont meeting, comprising of Madame Magic, Under Influence, Triple Jay, Manhattan Strip, Climb On Top and Who Be Whatee.
