The talented Ben Pearce, saddled up young 3yo Oratorio filly, Lady Natesa for the recent Bunbury meeting held on the 24th of November in the United Crane Hire maiden. Recently returned Clint Harvey was back in the saddle after he rode lady Natesa in her last outing for a neck second, diving through late on the line.
At Bunbury in the first event on the card, the brown filly took control in the early stages of the 1400m event, after leaving the gates on terms. Harvey decided to slide across from the 6 alley, and once across found her rhythm nicely to relax off the bit. Coming round the back corner of the journey, they slowed the field of 10 to a walk, ensuring their would be plenty in reserve for the trip home.
Coming into the straight Clint Harvey released the brakes slightly and Lady Natesa headed for the judge, a challenge came and went from Zarantz, as the Ben Pearce commodity began to increase her lead with every bound over the concluding stages of the race, in a barrier to box victory, by just under 2 lengths. Ben has pencilled in a start over the mile at a mid week Ascot meeting, but will see how she recoups before making a final decision.
