Ben Pearce will supply one runner in the form of General Hughes, to race 2 on the Pinjarra Park program on Thursday, July 16, with fine conditions forecast racing on a soft five the rail is in the inside position with the soul stable runner General Hughes having his first career start with Ms Jerry Noske aboard jumping from a wide barrier 11 in a field of 11 in the stable affairs maiden over 1200m.

General Hughes is a two-year-old chestnut gelding and is prepared for this outing via two barrier trials at Lark Hill the first of which on June 15 finishing fourth of 7 over 950 m with Peter Hall aboard arriving 13 1/2 lengths behind the winner then trialed again at the same venue on June 29 with an improved effort third of 7 over 950 m with Peter Hall again the pilot arriving half length behind the heat winner in a time of 57.80.
