The team at Ben Pearce racing will supply 2 runners to the Northam race club meeting on Thursday, October 8 with fine conditions forecast racing on a good 3, across a seven event program.
The first of Ben's runners will see Gigidy Gigidy Goo, a last start winner heading out in race 4 in the Saint Vincent DePaul Society handicap over a thousand metres with Casey Hunter aboard reducing 3 kg off the 59 kg allotted.
Gigidy Gigidy Goo is a six-year-old Bay gelding having start number six with one win earning prize-money in excess of $9000, recent efforts have all been at Northam with the latest two being an 11 of 16 on August 20 over 1300 m on a soft five with Ms Jerry Noske aboard arriving 10.5 lengths behind the winner, with the latest being at the same venue on September 10 finishing first of 10 over a thousand metres with Peter Hall in charge arriving three quarters of a length, in front of the nearest rival in a time of 57.75.
The second stable entrant will see Vital Edition take part in race seven in a 0 to 65 handicap over 1600 m with Casey Hunter aboard jumping from barrier one in a field of nine.
Vital Edition is a five-year-old Bay gelding having start number 28 with five wins and four placings earning prize-money excess of $117,000, with recent efforts both being at Belmont the first of which on August 29 finishing 10 of 14 over 2200 m with Peter Hall aboard arriving 10.25 lengths behind the winner and was last seen at the same venue on September 16 finishing eight of 14 over 1650 m with Casey Hunter aboard arriving five lengths behind the winner when ridden back at the tail of the field in a time of 1:41.69.
