As the field departed the stalls in race six on the Bunbury card, the early race leader passing the 800m was Peter Perfect out by about 4 lengths in proceedings, Boy Byrnes was next, Mega Factory was next as Gigidy Gigidy Goo sat midfield heading to the turn.
Into the straight Peter Perfect was gone as was Boy Byrnes, Hopetoun loomed as a danger with Megafactory also running on strongly, as the field came to the wire, Gigidy Gigidy Goo had been given plenty of room by Randy Tan finishing the best down the outside to land the prize, much to the delight of connections of Mr J Papadopoulos, Mr D R Fletcher, Mr M Nash, Mrs M A Nash, Mr A G Valentino, Mr R S Ashby, Mr R A Clarke, scoring the prize by 0.25 lengths ahead of Hopetoun with Megafactory in third.
