Gigidy Gigidy Goo was slow out, though All Too Much stayed in the stalls, Phantom Choice left well Warbrook was next with Chocolate Holic the race favourite in third matching strides with Gigidy Gigidy Goo.

Into the turn in the WA Bookmakers Leading Apprentice event Phantom Choice was joined by Warbrook, the favourite Chocolate Holic was making its run by the 250 meter marker, working harder than a short price favourite should, but under the urgings of Willie Pike drew clear in the concluding stages to land the prize by length and a quarter to the cheeky Gigidy Gigidy Goo at odds running into second, in advance of Warbrook back in third position.
