The team saddled up debutant, Father Knick as race favourite in the Bunbury Motel & Serviced Apartments Maiden racing on a good (4), with Jarrad Noske the pilot competing in a field of 5.
On leaving the stalls Vital Dancer led, Abdicator was on the inside though Father Knick raced into second to take closer stock, eyeballing the leader with 600m to run.
When the field headed for home, Vital Dancer shook off Father Knick to be well clear in the final stages, Abdicator raced on to edge in front of Father Knick late, but it was all Fighting Dancer scoring the prize, untouched on the line, leaving the stable prepared runner third, first time out.
