A massive effort was put in by Hashtag in the concluding stages of the Mandurah Stockfeeds handicap, to take out the event by half a length with Aaron Mitchell the pilot.
Hashtag was slow to begin and in the early stages of the event, had only one runner behind its rump, the pace up front was on in earnest between Pirates Fortune & Another Remark, allowing back markers a chance as the runners turned for home.
On turning for home Mitchell was looking for an out and took the stable prepared runner to the outside, bolting home strongly late to land a solid win in advance of the emergency Glen Albyn with Niaychi the next runner in.
