Sessions three-year-old Art Session scored his first career win at Pinjarra Scarpside on Wednesday when taking out the TABtouch Have You Got The Touch Handicap (1000m).
Ridden by Tash Faithfull, the gelding jumped on the third line of betting at $6 and was able to get the better of a decent field with four of his five rivals having already won a race.
He began from the outside draw down the straight course and Faithfull took full advantage when positioning him behind the pacemakers who set a blistering tempo in front before running over the top of them over the late stages.
Desert Whisper ($3.30) ran a long-neck second, with Allentown ($7) a further long-neck away in third place.
Art Session put the writing on the wall for his maiden win with a highly encouraging runner-up finish to smart type Repossession in Saturday grade first up at Belmont on May 17 and has now had five career starts for a win and three second placings.
Pearce Racing will saddle up Hezangelic, Famous Dain, Richanco Platinum Shot and Dun With The Blues at Saturday’s Pinjarra Scarpside meeting which has been transferred from Belmont.
