Merchant Navy gelding Galaxy Affair brought up consecutive wins at Geraldton on Friday when victorious in the Thank You To All Staff For A Job Well Done Handicap (1220m) fourth-up from a spell.
Heavily commissioned from $2.40 into $1.50 off the back of an authoritative win at the same track on April 27, the four-year-old was settled outside of the lead by rider Natasha Faithfull before getting past Arabian Riches ($6) over the late stages to score by a head.
Savage One ($4.40) finished a further one-and-a-half lengths away in third place.
Galaxy Affair is building up a strong race record with his 26 career starts netting seven wins, five second placings and $165,887 in stake earnings.
Meanwhile, stablemate Super Romani will be Pearce Racing’s sole representation this weekend when he lines up at Ascot today.
The Pearce stable has prepared 64 winners in the 2023/24 season to date, the second-highest tally in WA.
