Safeguard two-year-old Sinful Living scored an emphatic win at her second race start at Ascot on Saturday when leading throughout in the $125,000 TBWA Westspeed Platinum Plate (1000m).
Ridden by visiting Sydney jockey Rachel King, the filly was heavily supported into $1.85 favouritism prior to the jump and never looked like getting beaten after jumping straight to the front and giving the field the slip on straightening.
She bounded clear over the final furlong to defeat Street Band ($7.50) by two-and-three-quarter lengths, with West Star ($4.60) a further one-and-a-quarter lengths way in third place.
Sinful Living put the writing on the wall for her dominant performance when finishing an encouraging second at her race debut on December 9 after getting eye-balled and pressure from the 700m mark.
Purchased for only $10,000 at the 2023 Magic Millions Perth Winter yearling sale and raced by an all-ladies syndicate, the exciting filly has now accumulated $130,680 in stake earnings and Westspeed Platinum bonuses from her first two race starts.
