Consistent sprinter Forbidden Planet will have his 11th start for the preparation in the Regional Mens Health Handicap (1000m) but should benefit from the appointment of senior rider Peter Hall.
Hall has recorded two wins and two placings aboard the Planet Five gelding in the past six times they have combined together.
The pair will jump from barrier two in a six-horse field and rate among the leading hopes.
The Fast Track Pit Stop Maiden (1100m) will see Pearce Racing launch a two-pronged attack with debutant Tap The Go Go and Wild Fusion.
Discorci four-year-old Tap The Go Go will have her first race start in the event on the back of a sound trial effort at Lark Hill when second to Sistakini on August 28.
The mare will jump from barrier five with Jarrad Noske aboard and has first-four claims on debut.
Oratorio three-year-old Wild Fusion will be racing second-up in the same race and should be able to improve on a last-start seventh with natural improvement expected and a much more favourable barrier draw in gate four.
Pike retains the mount and the pair also look to be a first-four chance at odds.
The Pearce yard have a big weekend ahead with Watto’s Fury and Let’s Twist set to race at Belmont on Saturday, while former eastern states galloper A Private Party and leading Boulder Cup hope Pushin’ Shapes head to Kalgoorlie on Sunday.
